COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT DELIVERS CABLE STORAGE REELS
Coastal Marine Equipment of Gulfport, MS, the leading manufacturer of custom marine deck machinery, recently delivered four CME Model 1S518-387D4-16-00 Single Drum Storage Reels. Each drum is designed to hold 11,000 feet of 3-7/8 diameter wire rope developing 100,000 lbs line pull at 15 FPM on the first layer with a high speed of 30 FPM. Included with the system, the 250 HP hydraulic power unit with pressure compensated pumps and umbilical controls to operate each reel.

The barge will be fitted with a double 2-3/16" anchor windlass with dual mooring drums for 1-1/2" wire rope, three (3) double drum mooring winches for 1-1/2 wire rope and two (2) 1-1/2" wire rope mooring winches. COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT AWARDED FOLLOW ON CONTRACT FOR K-SEA TRANSPORTATION BARGE EQUIPMENT Coastal Marine Equipment, Inc. of Gulfport, MS, USA will furnish the deck machinery for an additional 100K bbl K-SEA Transportation barge being built by Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Inc. (Amelia, LA). The barge will be fitted with a 1-5/8" wire rope anchor winch, two (2) 1-1/4 wire rope mooring winches, two (2) 21 mooring capstans and 2 tugger winches This barge is in addition to the four (4) previously built at Bollinger, outfitted with the same Coastal Marine winches and capstans. COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT AWARDED CONTRACT FOR BOUCHARD TRANSPORTATION BARGE EQUIPMENT Coastal Marine Equipment, Inc. of Gulfport, MS, USA will furnish the deck machinery for an 80K bbl barge being built for Bouchard Transportation by Bollinger-Gretna, LLC. The barge will be fitted with an ABS certified 1-5/8" wire rope anchor winch, four (4) 1-1/8 wire rope mooring winches and two (2) 18 above deck mooring capstans and a duplex 50HP electro-hydraulic power unit. COASTAL MARINE SELECTED TO FURNISH GELLATLY BARGE EQUIPMENT Coastal Marine Equipment, Inc. of Gulfport, MS, USA has been selected to furnish the deck machinery for the 35K bbl Gellatly barge being built by Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Inc. (Amelia, LA). The barge will be fitted with a 1-3/8 wire rope anchor winch, a 18 vertical above deck capstan and a duplex 30HP electro-hydraulic power unit. COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT AWARDED FOLLOW ON CONTRACTS FOR HORNBECK BARGE EQUIPMENT
Coastal Marine Equipment, Inc. of Gulfport, MS, USA will furnish the deck machinery for an additional three (3) OPA 90 barges being built for Hornbeck Offshore (Covington, LA) by Leevac Shipyards Inc. (Jennings, LA) and Bay Shipbuilding (Sturgeon Bay, WI). Each barge will be fitted with a 1-3/4 or 1-7/8 wire rope anchor winch, four (4) 1-1/4 wire rope mooring winches and two (2) 24 mooring capstans, all electrically driven and controlled by variable frequency drives for multiple speed operation. These three (3) barges are in addition to the two (2) currently under construction at Leevac and Bay Ship, outfitted with the same Coastal Marine winches and capstans. COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT DELIVERS ATB EQUIPMENT CONTRACTED BY PENN MARITIME
Coastal Marine Equipment. Inc. of Gulfport, MS, USA has delivered the deck machinery for the Penn Maritime ATB (tug & barge) being constructed at Bay Shipbuilding (Manitowoc Marine Group) in Sturgeon Bay, WI. Equipment for the 140,000 barrel barge includes the 2-5/16 stud link anchor windlass with soft rope mooring drum; three (3) double drum wire rope mooring winches; and three (3) 24 mooring capstans. All equipment is electrically driven and provided with variable frequency drives for multiple speed operation. The tug will be fitted with a 36 hydraulic capstan and 60 HP electro-hydraulic power unit. COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT COMPLETES RETROFIT CONTRACTS
COASTAL MARINE EQUIPMENT DELIVERS DECK MACHINERY FOR US NAVYS EXPERIMENTAL X-CRAFT
Coastal Marine Equipment, Inc. of Gulfport, MS. USA recently delivered to Nichols Brothers Boat Builders of Freeland, WA, the deck machinery for the Navys new experimental X-Craft under construction there. The weight sensitive deck equipment, which was designed specifically for the X-Craft, includes two electrically driven anchor winches sized to hold 1,080ft of 1-5/8in diameter wire rope. The anchor winches are in accordance with ABS rules for HSNC (2003) and develop 28,500lbs bare drum line pull and 212,000lbs brake holding. Also included in the package are four vertical, through deck, electrically driven capstans developing 11,000lbs line pull and a four roller fairlead. CORP DECK MACHINERY PACKAGE DELIVERED TO ORANGE SHIPBUILDING
Coastal Marine Equipment has delivered to Orange Shipbuilding Co., Inc. of Orange, TX the deck machinery package for the Corps Crane Barge presently under construction. The package includes two hydraulically driven spud winches, two electro-hydraulic power units with double pump and high/low operation and a vertical, above deck, right angle electric capstan. THOMA-SEA BOATBUILDERS TAKES DELIVERY OF TOW PIN UNIT
Thoma-Sea Boatbuilders of Houma, LA recently took delivery of an above deck mounted tow pin unit. This three pin unit is hydrauically operated and has 16" diameter rollers. It includes wire rope hook and integral stern roller. The tow pin unit is sized for 2" diameter wire rope and includes hydraulic power unit with solenoid valves for remote mounting. Cenac Towing Company of Houma, LA has taken delivery of a pair of single drum push rope winches. These units are sized to hole 400ft of 2.25 inch synthetic rope and develop 400,000lbs first layer line pull at 5fpm with transmission in low gear. They are diesel driven and include spring set band brakes rated at 400,000lbs holding. NEW PUSH WIRE WINCHES SHIPPED TO SAUSE BROS.
Coastal Marine Equipment has added a new product to its line of deck machinery. The new push wire winches developed for and delivered to Sause Bros. Ocean Towing are sized to hold 200ft of 1.75 inch wire rope. They develop 47,000lbs first layer pull at 41fpm and have a brake holding of 212, 000lbs. The units include stainless steel catheads and brake drums. They are driven by a hydraulic motor through a planetary reducer and oil bathed spur gear set. Assembly is completed with stainless steel and teflon coated fasteners then finished with a marine duty three part epoxy paint system. SAUSE BROS. CONTRACT COMPLETED
Coastal Marine Equipment has COMPLETED the third barge package shipset of deck equipment from Sause Bros. Ocean Towing of Coos Bay Oregon. The barge machinery package consists of four single drum mooring winches sized to hold 1,000ft of 1.25 inch wire rope and develops 32,000lbs bare drum line pull at 60fpm and one single drum emergency tow line reel sized to hold 900ft of 2 inch wire rope. HORNBECK OFFSHORE PROJECT COMPLETED
Coastal Marine Equipment delivered to Hornbeck Offshore the last unit in a series of four combination double anchor windlass/mooring winches for installation on a series of 73m OSVs constructed at Leevac Shipyard in Jennings, LA. These winches have dual 1.5 inch wildcats with a line pull of 29,250lbs and a mooring drum sized for 2,000ft of 1.5 inch wire rope developing 22,000lbs line pull (bare drum). The combination winch units are driven by a 60HP electro-hydraulic power unit that also powers the two-speed deck tugger winch. OTHER COMPLETED CONTRACTS
